TALES OF OLD ST. PAUL'S

Stories, Tales, Rumours & Gossips

From Little London, Jamaica.

This book is now available (August, 2004).

It is a selection of twelve short stories about life in Old St Paul's district of Jamaica.

These short stories are written to further tell the story of the Village of Little London, as they were to me 60 to 80 years ago.

Some of the stories are fiction but are based on the people who lived and died in Negril, Sheffield, Little London, Broughton, Masemure, New Hope etc. I have changed some of the names to protect the innocent.

Stories in the book include:

The Man

The Bay Road Boys

The Chief Cometh

Him A Wah

Gone Bad From Long Time

Sweet Soup

In the stories I have tried to give the reader an insight to the social and economic conditions of the time as well as entertain.

This book along with my others will be availble from Oldrids Book Department and Ottakars Bookstore, both in Boston, Lincs.
